Vidu Q4 Image-to-Video Controls

One image sets the opening frame

Vidu Q4 starts from a first-frame image rather than a text-only brief. Choose a sharp picture with a clearly separated subject and enough room for the intended movement. The image establishes composition, lighting, clothing, and object placement; your prompt describes how that scene changes. A still photo is guidance, not a promise that every logo, face, or edge will remain identical. Avoid tiny lettering and clutter when exact details matter, and compare the completed clip with your original before using it.

Choose 3–16 seconds deliberately

The duration control offers every whole second from 3 through 16. Start by deciding how much time one action needs. A gentle head turn may fit a short shot, while a slow product reveal needs more breathing room. Longer clips are not automatically more coherent: the scene can drift as new details enter the frame. Give the motion a beginning and an ending instead of filling the prompt with unrelated events. The workspace starts at five seconds so the direction is easy to inspect.

Resolution and native audio

The existing route exposes 540p, 720p, 1080p, 2K, and 4K output, with 720p selected initially. Higher resolution increases the configured credit estimate; it cannot repair an unsuitable source image or contradictory instructions. Vidu Q4 includes native audio, so describe the sound you want alongside the visible action. Review the whole soundtrack for timing, unwanted speech, and abrupt changes. This page does not offer a separate audio-off control or promise exact dialogue, voice identity, or musical rights.

How to Prepare a Vidu Q4 Video

1. Select a usable first frame

Use an image you own or have permission to animate. Check its focus, framing, and subject boundaries before uploading. A cropped hand or partially hidden object gives the model less information about the movement you expect. If the final composition is vertical, prepare the source with that composition in mind rather than relying on a separate aspect-ratio setting. This route uses one opening image; it does not expose last-frame, reference-video, reference-audio, or multishot inputs.

2. Write movement and sound together

Describe one subject action, one camera direction, and a small amount of environmental sound. For example, ask for a slow push toward a ceramic cup while steam rises and a quiet room tone continues. Keep the wording consistent with the source: do not ask for a sunny exterior when the photo depicts a dark studio. Separate the motion you want from the details that should stay stable. Avoid several simultaneous camera moves, rapid location changes, and instructions that depend on hidden objects.

3. Inspect the completed file

When generation is enabled after validation, check the selected model, duration, resolution, and displayed credits before submitting. Watch the entire output with sound, including the opening and closing frames. Look for object drift, unstable faces, broken reflections, and sound that does not match the action. Keep the original source beside the result when reviewing product or identity details. Revise one variable at a time so you can tell which instruction helped. Generation is probabilistic and a repeated prompt can produce a different clip.

Vidu Q4 Prompt Examples

Product detail with restrained movement

Suggested prompt: A ceramic perfume bottle stays centered on the stone shelf. The camera slowly pushes closer as soft window light moves across the glass. Preserve the bottle silhouette and label placement. Quiet indoor ambience, no speech. Start from a product photo with readable edges and an uncluttered background. Check reflections and lettering throughout the result rather than judging the opening frame alone. This is a writing example, not a generated sample or a guarantee of faithful packaging.

Portrait with a single action

Suggested prompt: The person in the source image turns gently toward the window and smiles, with a fixed camera and soft room ambience. Keep the clothing and background consistent. No dialogue. Choose a portrait whose expression and pose can plausibly lead into that action. Inspect eyes, teeth, hands, and the background near the moving silhouette. Use consented images and avoid treating a generated expression as evidence that a real person performed the action.

Atmosphere for an illustration

Suggested prompt: Small ripples move across the pond while the paper boat rocks gently in place. Keep the shore and the camera still. Light wind and quiet water sounds, no music. A clear illustration can anchor the style, but moving details may be redrawn. Review the boat folds and its contact with the water. If too much changes, reduce the number of moving elements instead of adding more descriptive adjectives. These ideas are creative starting points, not measured quality comparisons.

Compare the actual input mode

Use the video model directory to compare supported workflows before choosing a model. MiniMax H3 and Wan 3.0 Prime have their own controls and input modes; their duration and resolution options do not define Vidu Q4. Keep comparisons focused on the same source, intended movement, and output settings where possible. A model name alone does not establish better quality or faster rendering. Choose the resulting shot for its usefulness to your project, and assemble separate shots in an editor when a story needs multiple scenes.

Vidu Q4 FAQ

What is Vidu Q4?

Vidu Q4 is an image-to-video model that animates one first-frame image into a 3–16 second clip with native audio. Describe the movement and sound while using your picture to establish the scene.

Can I generate from text alone?

This page connects to the image-to-video route only. A first-frame image is required; text-only, last-frame, and reference-video workflows are not exposed here.

Which output settings are supported?

Choose 540p, 720p, 1080p, 2K, or 4K and a whole-second duration from 3 through 16. The initial settings are 720p and five seconds. Native audio is included.

Is generation free?

Reading this page does not cost credits. Video generation uses credits when available; review the displayed estimate before any future submission. This read-only workspace cannot submit a task.

Can I generate here today?

No. Vidu Q4 is shown in a read-only workspace with the existing route wired for later validation. Generation remains disabled pending separate live verification and release approval. No paid Vidu Q4 output was created for this page.
